Hello! Thank you for your interest in my website. My name is Kevin, and I am a graduate student at Boston University pursuing a PhD in Mechanical Engineering as part of the Morphable Biorobotics Laboratory. My research explores applications of smart materials in the field of soft robotics.
I graduated from Northeastern University in May 2018 with a Bachelor's of Science in Mechanical Engineering with Minors in Electrical Engineering and Mathematics. Thanks to Northeastern's coop program, I have twelve months of experience in the microdevices and MEMS industry. This includes six months at Draper where I focused on microdevice metrology and processing as well as six months at Boston Micromachines designing and implementing new mechanical and electrical packaging for an optical MEMS device. Both positions incorporated extensive clean room work.
In my free time I enjoy working with my hands on small projects and learning new skills. I am proficient with several musical instruments, including the trumpet, guitar, and bass. I collect vinyl records and am passionate about live music. In general, I am at my happiest on a quiet walk in the woods or sitting by a fire listening to some jazz.
Please do not hesitate to reach out to me with any questions!
